Saturday 24th November we were challenged to a 10 pin bowling "competition" by the Triumph Sport Six club.
We played across three lanes with 3 players from each club on a lane. There were 19 players in all, so Mark And Chris Jones shared the bowling between them because we had a limit of 18 on the lanes.
A
lot of fun was had with some very good, and some not-so-good bowling being seen.
Several of the Triumph owners club seemed to have done a bit before, but our
secret weapon was Ray from the Western region who played a blinder (as opposed
to playing blind like some of our other players).
Some
players seemed to be trying to throw the ball through the back wall of the lane,
whilst others bowled like they were willing it to float in the right direction.
The NOISE in the bowling centre was amazing, but there was a great atmosphere and everyone had a good, if frustrating, time.
The
overall "result" was that the MX-5 owners were the winners (hurrah).
Mark awarded certificates for the winning team, the highest score and the lowest
score. Our "ringer" Ray was awarded the highest score certificate and
we won't embarrass anyone further by naming the winner of the lowest.
