Sunday March 30th - Vale Run

Bring me sunshine

After a week of appalling weather the Gods smiled down on the Vale of Glamorgan and the 26 cars that turned out at Junction 33.
Roads are a little tight in the Vale, with no long open stretches for the cars, so we set off in two lots, but it was a very pretty run through the villages of Pendoylan, Bonvilston, Cowbridge and Ewenny.

We stopped on Ogmore Common overlooking the beach so the two groups could meet up again (and to wait for Richard to extricate his immobiliser which he had dropped into the depths of his car) and then continued through St Donats, Llantwit Major and Boverton.

Apart from two cars forgetting to cruise around Barry Island there were no hiccups, and everybody arrived safely at the Sea Shore Grill in Swanbridge. After lunch we were actually able to sit outside and look across to Sully Island with the sun shining on the sea, which made a very pleasant end to a good run.
