This was the second year that MX-5 club members had entered this run. It was well organised with each entrant getting a rally plaque Monte Carlo Rally stylee and a horse brass (both now fixed to our garage doors).
Six cars from our club attended and there were several other MX-5's doing the run. Attendees from our club were: Mark & Jane, Bob & Ros, Keith & Daughter, Ray & Marilyn, Clive & Penny and Michelle and I.
Some really nice cars (and some not so) were there and we left in our own time to follow the well documented route notes.
There were two different runs, a short and a long. We chose to follow the short run which was up through the Neath Valley on then on up to eventually Hay-on-Wye.
Along the way we stopped at a pub for lunch. Most of our party had a reasonable meal, but mine was pretty grim; it was frozen in the centre first time, and after being re-done, was frozen in the centre again!! Everyone makes mistakes, but the attitude of the staff when I complained was awful. This was made worse when they tried to overcharge us. We won't go there again.
All in all, a nice day with lovely roads, though some of them were so narrow that speeds were low.
